Whether it was discovering your passions through the K-Plan, forging lifelong friendships, or discovering new cultures and experiences through study abroad, you know firsthand how transformative K can be. Now you can help future Hornets find their way to K, too!
Refer a Student
Your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors might just be future Hornets. If you know a high school student who would thrive at K, please fill out the Referral Form and we will connect with the student. It only takes a moment to turn someone’s four into more!
Share What Makes K Great
We invite you to use our talking points to highlight what makes K exceptional—from immersive study abroad and close faculty mentorship to a welcoming campus community. Even more importantly, we hope you’ll share your own uniquely K story with future Hornets, helping to illustrate the opportunities a K education can provide.
Encourage students to Visit
Encourage students to schedule a campus visit. There’s no better way for a student to feel the vibe and discover all that Kalamazoo College has to offer than by seeing it for themselves.
Attend a Visit Day
Local alumni are welcome to attend the Check-In portion of our scheduled visit days on campus, from 8:15 to 9 a.m. This is a great way to meet and mingle with prospective or admitted students and their families, and your presence shows just how supportive K’s alumni network can be. We ask that you register to attend the visit day of your choosing so that we can track and confirm your attendance.
Send Notes to Deposited Students
Even in the digital age, we have found that receiving handwritten notes in the mail is exactly what students want! Once a student has committed to K, you can help them feel welcome and connected by sending them a handwritten note of congratulations. We will mail all the supplies to you in a package containing:
- A list of student names and addresses.
- An instruction sheet with a sample note you may use as a template.
- A stack of note cards, stamps envelopes (you can choose a number in the form).
