Seeing is believing. Visit K with your family, explore campus and walk away with a Visit Award that makes your K education even more affordable. Receive $1,000 a year, up to four years, when you participate in a qualifying visit.
Award Eligibility and Details
Award for First-Year Applicants
Complete a qualifying visit between August 1 before your junior year of high school and February 1 of your senior year. The award is renewable for up to four years.
Award for Transfer Applicants
Complete a qualifying visit during the 12 months before you enroll. The award is renewable through degree completion.
What counts as a qualifying visit?
- A campus visit that includes an Admission information session
- An individual meeting on campus with an Admission counselor
- Discover K Day and other official Admission-sponsored visit programs and open houses held within your qualifying window
- A class visit arranged through Admission and paired with an Admission interaction
- An athletic recruiting visit that includes an Admission presentation or a meeting with an Admission counselor
Does it stack with my other aid?
Yes! Even students receiving full tuition, such as through the Kalamazoo Promise or tuition exchange, receive the additional $1,000. Students who qualify for both the K Tradition Award and the Visit Award receive both.
